Delta Dental Coverage Availability & Fees
With Delta Dental Insurance, there are three main plans, which include:
- Delta Dental PPOSM
- Delta Dental Premier®
- DeltaCare®USA (Delta’s DHMO-type closed network plan)
If you’ve purchased a Delta Dental PPO or Delta Dental Premier plan, you are welcome to use your coverage to visit any licensed dentist of your choice; however, your savings will be even greater when you select an in-network provider such as Healthy Smiles Dental Care.
With the DeltaCare USA plan, you are required to choose your primary care dentist from Delta Dental’s pre-selected list of providers.
The specific coverage you receive from your Delta Dental Insurance plan will vary depending on your individual policy, the dentist you select, and the treatment you’ll be receiving. With most Delta Dental plans, a pre-specified percentage of your treatment cost must be paid out by your plan, while the remainder of your balance will depend on our fees.
This means that your out-of-pocket expenses will be much lower when you use your Delta Dental coverage with us!
Please be aware that Delta Dental Premier plans may have a “table of allowances” that specify the exact dollar amount your Delta Dental plan will cover for each treatment. In these cases, you would just pay the difference between what your plan allows and our fees at Healthy Smiles Dental Care.
While most Delta Dental Insurance plans operate within a specified benefits period of one calendar year, this may not always be from January to December. Furthermore, please be aware that some annual maximums and limits could be applied to each member of your family if there are multiple family members on your Delta Dental Insurance plan.
